Matt + Halee
The top of Mt Spokane
If you haven't been to the top of Mt Spokane in the summer... You need to! Yea sure it's a little rugged getting up there with narrow windy roads and looking down at the bottom of the mountain and realizing that if an oncoming car is coming you'll need to get over and maybe fall down the whole mountain, but besides that it's gorgeous. I myself love boarding and I love coming up here in the winter but something about it in the summer is so beautiful and romantic.
When I asked Matt & Halee what they were looking for as far as a theme goes, I had two options; one being a couch potato couple.. or an outdoorsy, adventourous couple. I went with option two, I have never shot up there before Matt & Halee but they were more then willing to treck up there with my wife and I.
When shooting for anyone I try to find a location that resembles their lifestyle and what's important to them. I couldn't be happier with Mt Spokane, yea sure it gets stupid cold out but it's straight up gorgeous!
I remember meeting Halee for the first time and she mentioned she was shy with a camera in her face, who isn't, I don't even like a camera in my face. But the coolest thing was Halee right off the bat just let go of all nerves and let her be in the moment with her Matt. That's one thing I strive for, realizing I set up the shot but allowing you to be yourself with the person you love, I think that's one reason I love couple shoots, because I get to let them be themselves more then anything.
So to Matt & Halee, you guys rocked up there! Keep on keeping on and stay fly!
