Joel + Katrina

Joel & Katrina were very righteous! They opened up her Dad's home on the lake for a great photo sesh! And let me tell you, it was awesome! But before I talk about the amazing engagement session let me fill you in with some story time... 

I met Joel & Katrina through Kara's boss's, so already I had this pre notion I was destined to be their Wedding Photographer (I've thought this out for like 2 years haha). A couple months ago when they got engaged, Kara and I both looked at each other and literally said F***IN FINALLY! I get excited to shoot for people I know because I get to tell a story they have wanted to show for a long time!

Fast forward a couple months later... we get to her families home on the lake and to my surprise the lake was still frozen. This definitely opened up opportunities to risk lives and get sweet pics! So we achieved this goal, I told Joel and Katrina to go out on the frozen lake and start dancing, I actually thought I was going to have to choreograph some shots but they just started killing it, I looked at Kara with a smirk like "what the?" and she's like "Oh yea, they know how to dance..." which made my job way easier but it was nice to see some genuine action on a frozen lake. After a while of straight up crushing it, we started hearing what seemed like the loch ness monster swimming beneath our feet, but then we added two and two together and noticed the ice was melting beneath our feet, so we got to safety because I told them I wasn't insured if they got injured haha. 

Anywho, I love Joel and Katrina as well as their sweet pics! the Wedding countdown till July 22nd is happening...
