Derek + Anna
Tic toc tic toc tic toc, I swear I can hear the sound of a clock turning towards the 12 o'clock hand as it approaches midnight. My excitement for this shoot has been building since June, and I was counting down the hours to head out to Leavenworth.
Derek and I go way back, like at least ten years back. When he told me back in June he wanted to do the shoot at Leavenworth I was jazzed because I have never shot nor been there so it's always nice to head somewhere new. Throughout the months leading up to the shoot Derek and I were in constant contact and talked about doing a shot with the Christmas lighting in the heart of downtown Leavenworth, unfortunately we weren't able to get a shot with the Christmas lights BUT we did get a shot in the awesome town so check it out down below!
Throughout our shoot we froze our toes off and had a lot of laughs, and we even helped a young girl up after she fell, and when I say "we", I actually mean Anna because she is that rad! We talked about beers, hockey, and the fact I was wearing horrible footwear for the occasion, but it didn't bother me one bit because I enjoyed the company and views.
Derek & Anna were very righteous, for multiple reasons but more importantly they were siked for a sledding shot! We got that just as the daylight was escaping us, and on the way driving back we spotted a really sweet bridge just outside of Leavenworth, so we had to stop and get our last shots there. I can't lie I kind of felt bad because we were all cold, but I always drag wifey Kara with me everywhere I go, I can just tell she was exhausted after trekking through the snow, but it was great!!
It was great getting to shoot for an old friend and meet his lovely Anna! May the Wedding be so righteous and stay golden!
